Nikolaos Konstantinou

Dr. Konstantinou received his Engineer Diploma from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), in 2004. In the same year, after having fulfilled his military obligations he was accepted as a Ph.D. candidate in NTUA, School of ECE, Division of Communication, Electronic and Information Engineering. In December 2009 he successfully defended his thesis, entitled “Semantic information enrichment in relational databases and context-aware systems”. After completing his Ph.D., he joined the Autonomic and Grid Computing group in Athens Information Technology (AIT) as a post-doctoral researcher, until September 2011 when he moved to the National Documentation Centre, part of the National Hellenic Research Foundation. Since May 2013, he is a senior researcher with the MCWT/NTUA Research Group and a technical manager in the Hellenic Academic Ebooks project, coordinated by the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link. Dr. Konstantinou has participated in numerous nationally and internationally-funded research projects and worked in various positions in the software development cycle. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and a Senior Member of the IEEE.

His research interests include but are not limited to: semantic web technologies, linked open data, knowledge management, digital repositories, context-sensitive systems, information flow in the internet of things. For more information, visit Dr. Konstantinou's homepage.
